If you haven't noticed yet, Facebook made yet another update. All of your things (education, relationships, pictures, likes, everything) are better displayed for your friends to see. One of these things includes the "Notes" section. When I first realized this, I thought "Oh no...I have no clue what the heck I posted when I was in high school?" Thankfully, I didn't post that much. Three notes total, two of them being my class schedules for my junior and senior year of high school. My third note, however, I'll let you read for yourself.
I didn't know this was possible, but 16 year old Kathy annoys me. The double-parenthesis smiley face and starting sentences with "so" and adding unnecessary letters onto words and all that nonsense. But once I ignored all of that, and listened to the text that was written, I thought "Oh my goodness, this is so typical of me!"
Of course my seven year old neighbor wakes me up with a mohawk. Of course my family decided out of the blue to go to the beach. Of course a bird poops on me out of everyone else that was on that beach.
That's my life and I'm perfectly okay with it. Now that I'm 15 days shy of no longer being a teenager, I realize how much I have grown up. I now write with full sentences and only do single-parenthesis smiley faces. :)
Totally unrelated note: Britt Nicole's Gold is my jam right now. To everyone reading this, the lyrics of this song are so true and things that we do not hear enough. I know for a fact that if I were reminded that I am worth more than gold all through high school, I would not have struggled so much with insecurity. So please, believe these words:
Whatever you've been told, you're worth more than gold.
